Today, we are excited to announce the launch of the new web platform “Mezhyhirya – Portal of a Millennium of Ukrainian History.” The primary aim of this project is to convey to a wide audience the heroic and tragic pages of Mezhyhirya’s thousand-year history, as well as to highlight the criminal role of the Russian Empire in the destruction of this important Ukrainian landmark and center of spirituality.
The “Mezhyhirya” platform will serve as a unique resource for those interested in the history of this region. It offers engaging popular science materials accessible on the Internet, covering everything from ancient times to the present day.
Among the main tasks of the web platform are:
- Creating a specialized online resource for the presentation and promotion of Mezhyhirya’s history through documentary materials from the collection of Dmytro Pirkl. The project will be presented in the format of an interactive exhibition featuring video and audiovisual content available in both virtual and mobile formats.
- Accumulating interesting and useful information to popularize Mezhyhirya among researchers and the general public.
- Showcasing the results of years of research into original artifacts related to the history of Mezhyhirya and notable figures who have entered the pantheon of Ukrainian heroes.
The portal’s slogan, “Depart from evil and do good, and live forever!” (Psalm 36:27, translation by I. Ohiyenko), reflects our values and intentions. We invite all interested individuals to join us in exploring the history of Mezhyhirya and its significance for Ukraine!
